I knew immediately that the driver of the vehicle was a "Sane Lane Violator". Let me explain, in the Twin Cities area, as in many other larger Metropolitan areas, we have highway lanes designated for vehicles with two or more people in them. These lanes are the reward for people to car pool since these lanes are usually not congested and the traffic keeps moving.
The next day, I sat in the sane lane waiting for the driver to pass by. Sure enough, I see the truck with the driver and the baby that had been strapped in the infant seat. I stopped the vehicle and this is what I saw. The driver was issued an $88.00 ticket and the baby and infant seat were booked into the property room. The driver immediately paid the ticket and retrieved the seat and baby. The seat has been returned to the vehicle for his real child and the "baby" no longer takes the sane lane ride.
